
Dr. George G. Njoroge is the Director Nuclear Safety, Protection & Resource Centre
Prior to his appointment, he served as the Ag.Director General and Ag. Director Technical Services at the Authority. As the Director General, he was responsible for the overall oversight of the day-to-day operations and administration of the Authority and to provide stewardship to the Authority personnel in managing the affairs of the Authority. As the Director General he was an ex-officio KNRA Board Member which allowed him make recommendations to the Board on the formulation of policies, plans and strategies for effective regulation of nuclear technologies and applications within the Republic of Kenya.
Dr. Njoroge has over 20-year of experience as a Radiation Protection Officer and a strong academic background in ICT combined with excellent experience as an ICT analyst.
Dr. Njoroge holds a PhD in Information and Communication Engineering from Harbin Engineering University, China, an MSc. GIS from University of Nairobi, Kenya and a BSc. from Egerton University, Kenya,
Additionally, he has undertaken the Strategic Leadership Development Program (SLDP) and Senior Management Course (SMC) from Kenya School of Government (KSG) and is a member of the International Association Engineers (IAENG).
