Rogers Marindi is a public servant in the Ministry of Interior and national Government with over 17 years of service. He has served at various counties across the country as a National Government Administrative Officer. He initially worked in the field coordinating national government functions.
At the Ministry Headquarters, he has served as a member of the Ministerial Technical Policy Committee; and Inter-agency Taskforce Developing Public Finance Management (Standing Disaster Management Fund); member of the National Disaster Risk Assessment Senior Steering Committee; Joint Secretary, National Committee on Citizen Participation in Security; and Inter Ministerial Committee on Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear, (CBRN). He was born on 1st Feb. 1980 in Nyamira County, Kenya.
He is a PhD student in management with a bias in security management. Some of the research projects he has worked on include: Influence of Asymmetrical Warfare on Disaster Preparedness of Civil Agencies in Nairobi, Kenya, (2018) Factors Influencing the Operational Independence of the Kenya Police Service in Nairobi, Kenya (2018) and The Practice of Democracy in Kenya, (2003).
He has a masters of Arts Degree in Security Management and a Bachelors of Arts Degree both from Egerton University, Kenya. Though not practicing, he is equally a Certified Public Accountant 1. He has undertaken a number of leadership, management and development courses including: Strategic Leadership Development Program (SLDP); Senior Management Course (SMC) and Induction course for Administrative Officers all at the Kenya School of Government.
