Mr. Mark Oloo

Deputy Director, Corporate Communications

Mr Mark Oloo is the Deputy Director for Corporate Communications at the Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority. A member of the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK), Mr Oloo is responsible for KNRA brand management.

Mr Oloo is a seasoned media and communications practitioner who’s held positions at various reputable media establishments, such as Nation Media Group, Capital FM Group and Standard Group. In 2017, he was awarded the World Press Institute fellowship, becoming the second Kenyan in 25 years to receive this honor. Twice, he was an EJN climate journalism fellow in Morocco and Spain.

He has a Master’s degree in Communications from the University of Nairobi, and is an alumnus of RISJ at the University of Oxford, International Institute of Journalism in Germany, RNTC in the Netherlands, Fojo Institute in Sweden and the ICFJ in Washington, DC. His research project at Oxford in 2021 assessed the place of self-regulation and peer review in ethical journalism.
