Mr. Mark Oloo

Deputy Director, Corporate Communications

Mark Oloo is the Deputy Director for Corporate Communications at the Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority. A member of the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK), Mr Oloo is responsible for communication and KNRA brand management.

Mr Oloo is a seasoned media and communications practitioner. For 15 years, he worked for Kenya’s mainstream press, including Nation Media Group and Standard Group, in senior editorial capacities. In 2017, he was named the World Press Institute fellow. Twice in 2016 and 2019, he was an EJN climate journalism fellow in Morocco and Spain.

He has a Master’s degree in Communications from the University of Nairobi. He is an alumnus of Maseno University, RISJ at the University of Oxford, International Institute of Journalism in Germany, RNTC in the Netherlands, Fojo Institute in Sweden and the ICFJ in Washington, DC. His research at Oxford in 2021 assessed the place of self-regulation and peer review in ethical journalism.
